Bach & Roll: A Major Fusion is a two-week creative experience unlike anything else! In this groundbreaking partnership, Girls Rock! Des Moines, the Des Moines Symphony Academy, and the Des Moines Art Center come together to give campers the chance to play in a band, write original songs, create custom band merch, and explore music and art in bold new ways…all while building confidence and making friends. 

Throughout the camp, participants will have daily private lessons and band rehearsals. Teaching artists from across the metro will help campers learn to write songs, master a cover tune, and record and perform their own original music. An instrument library allows campers to try new instruments, making this experience accessible for musicians of all backgrounds and skill levels.

Beyond the music, campers enjoy snacks and a daily catered lunch, adding more value to an already unforgettable program. The two weeks culminate in a final showcase performance, where campers share their work with family, friends, and the community.
